Presidential Policy Directive 21 – Part I
I have just finished reading the latest Presidential Policy Directive 21(PPD), and I think it hits home with
a lot of our prospects and the general environment in which we live in today. In this three part blog, I will be sharing the main points of this new Directive with everyone. This Directive is focused
on Critical Infrastructure Security & Resilience and advances a national unity of effort to strengthen
and maintain secure, functioning, and resilient critical infrastructure. At its core the Directive focus is
squarely on maintaining and protecting the critical infrastructure that we all rely on to go about our
daily business.
The policy of this Directive is squarely focused on considering all hazards that could have a debilitating
impact on national security, economic stability, public health and safety, or any combination thereof.
The policy goes on to point out that efforts should be focused on reducing vulnerabilities, minimizing
consequences, identifying and disrupting threats, and hastening response and recovery efforts related
to critical infrastructure.
Emergency Visions and our flagship product, ResponseVision™, are here to help government agencies and
related partners to ensure they are prepared to protect and respond to critical infrastructure attacks.
We are positioned to inventory physical capacity and personnel to respond to any and all
attacks on our infrastructure. This Blog series will continue to explore the imperatives and next steps. Feel free to reach out to us to schedule a call to review your needs and our
ability to serve you and your community.
